Culture

It is a large challenge to participate in projects with something existing to take care of - it could be the location, the context or a buildings history.

The challenge is to modernize with respect for the existing - resulting in a modern shaping and function ready for the future - and an amplification and highlighting of the existing.


A couple of projects from A2 ....

New church decoration in Engesvang

In connection to the newly built house for the priestfamily in Engesvang, the church is being redecorated by A2.

The old theater, Knudsens

The old theater from the Knudsen Hotel was sold and donated to the city of Holstebro. Then A2 was responsible for a complicated and radical restoration and modernization of the historical building. The project received the citys building award; HOLSTEBRO KOMMUNES BYGNINGSPRIS.

Panorama Cinema

A2 arkitekterne behind Panorama Cinema in Slagelse, the building focus on economycal advantageous constructions.

Club for Rowing, Ribe

A2 arkitekterne building club for rowing on historical ramparts in the city of Ribe.

Cinema Scala

Renovation and expansion of the Cinema Scala was made by A2 arkitekterne, and the cinema got a renewed and clear architectural expression.
